Allison Borgschulte - "Embrace" Experimental Panel Marble
This is a contemporary handmade marble made by Allison Borgschulte. Allison is a glass artist specializing in stained and fused glass techniques. She worked with Hot House Glass to create a handful of marbles by creating glass rectangular panels that Hot House Glass wrapped into spheres for her. This is one of her first experimental pieces using a painting by Gustav Klimt as inspiration. She wanted to see how the elaborate patterns and elongated figures of Klimt's work would translate in spherical form. This marble is approximately 3 1/2" in diameter.
