Josh Simpson - "Planet Marble I"

This is an early example of a Josh Simpson "Planet Marble". Planet marbles are a signature style by contemporary artist, Josh Simpson. These miniature worlds contain continents, mountains, beaches, swirling oceans and winding rivers, with clouds often drifting above. Inhabited Planets also exhibit signs of intelligent life: buildings, domes and sometimes an orbiting spaceship. Unless otherwise noted, Inhabited Planets are spherical, with no flattened base. Approximately 1 1/2" shy in diameter.
