Nebula Universe

This is a handmade "Universe Marble" by Gateson Recko.  It contains an "opal moon vortex", which is a spherical synthetic opal floating over a spiraling white vortex that appears to be going deeper into the background than physically possible.  It also contains 10 other spherical celestial bodies.  It has a haze of starlike glistening specks which really give the marble an ethereal feel.  This is a beautiful illusion of the universe that is impossible to do justice with a photograph.  Measures approximately 1 3/4" in diameter.  Signed and dated, "Gateson 2008".
