This is a very exclusive box set of "Joker" marbles. These marbles were made in a single, special run at the Jabo plant in Reno, Ohio, on Sunday, May 18, 2008 by four marble enthusiasts; Jim King and Ed parsons of WV, Kevin Plummer of KY, and Rick Hall of OH. The name "Joker" is an acronym of the four men's names with a marble, "o", inserted into the acronym. They had approached Jabo with the idea of renting the plant for a day - 24 hours - and buying their own, high quality glass, to see if they could make a run like no other. Heretofore, aventurine (Jokers contain green aventurine) had only come out in one small run by Sammy Hogue, and the marble world was already abuzz with those very simple marbles. The four thought that with Jim King's expertise - he's been a torch worker for years, and is a frequent visitor to the Jabo plant - Dave McCullough's guidance, and the best glass money could buy that they could produce some jaw-droppers. They succeeded beyond their wildest expectations.
