Legend says a misfortunate French nobleman, while imprisoned in the Bastille, devised the Solitaire Game. The game board was given to Civil War soldiers to amuse themselves while waiting to go to battle. It was dubbed General Grant's Board. During the 20th century newspapers would publish challenges or set-ups using just a few marbles. Some of these set-ups are included in the pamphlet as well as solutions to a clear full board. Game board includes 32 marbles 9/16" in diameter and a cloth pouch with the Moon Marble Co. logo. Hardwood board is approximately 7" in diameter. Warning!: Choking Hazard. This toy contains marbles. Not recommended for children under 5 years old.
